ShadowSense touchscreen technology operates through a grid of sensors placed around the screen’s edges. Each sensor emits near-infrared light that creates an invisible grid of beams across the display surface. When an object, such as a finger or stylus, touches or hovers above the screen, it partially obstructs these beams, casting a “shadow.”
The sensors detect the disruptions in the grid caused by the shadows and analyse the resulting pattern to determine the touch location and object’s characteristics.
